Born in Sweden but residing half time in South Africa since 2015, Shuwanas connection to deep, afro and tribal house/tech music was first formed in Johannesburg club and dance scene. When she initially travelled to South Africa to learn about Pantsula culture, she found her way into the clubs and falling in love with the heavy local sound. Having danced her whole life and being a force on the dancefloor she felt a natural pull to move into the Djs role to explore another way of being one with the music. With her background in movement it gives her a unique way of curating a musical journey, embody the sound and pulling people into her world one beat at a time.

Shuwana is a firm believer that music is a healing power that knows no border, and that a DJ set is an opportunity to foster connection between and within people on the dancefloor. Commited to her craft she continues to expand her artistry to deepen her understanding and skillset of deejaying and music.

Today marks 10years of spinning the decks, and 34 years of dancing her way through life and she has shared lineup with legendary names such as Cuebur, Black Motion, Manoo, Thandi Draai, Mpho.Wav playing at AfroBiza, Suncebeat, Redbull Dance Your style afterparty and more.
